Gunnar Gidner is a professional saxophonist based in the Cincinnati area. He began studying the clarinet at a young age, leading him to study the saxophone throughout his formative years. Furthering his musical career after High School, Gunnar attended the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in pursuit of a Jazz Studies degree where he learned from Rick VanMatre among others. He later ventured to study at UMKC and studied with none other than Bobby Watson while in Kansas City, MO. Currently, Gunnar is gigging in the Cincinnati area in a variety of settings including jazz, classical, contemporary, and funk/fusion performances.
